src/data/brand.css - one file
Every mark below is the owner's own published file, carried unchanged. None of them is our artwork, none of them is on our grid, and none of them takes our colours. The stylesheet that sizes them declares no colour at all, because the colour is part of what the owner registered.
The set is authored as data under
scripts/lib/brands/, assembled by
scripts/lib/brands.ts, and this page is generated from it,
so a re-fetched mark lands here and in
brands.json at the same build. There is no second copy of a
path anywhere in the repository, which on this subject is a correctness property rather
than tidiness: a copy is what goes stale, and a stale trademark is a wrong one.
This is not a package and there is no sprite. A sprite would make one request carry marks the page did not ask for, and a CSS mask keeps only coverage and discards colour, which would turn most of these into the silhouette their owners forbid. A page that shows two marks pastes two, and pays for nothing else.
The tiles below copy their markup to the clipboard, and the filter narrows the set by name. Both need script. With scripting off every mark still renders, the whole set is still on the page, and the markup is in the panel under the first example.
Each tile draws its mark once, and the theme decides which file. Where an owner publishes a light and a dark version, both ship here and the page swaps them, which is why a near-black wordmark is still readable on the dark theme. Where an owner publishes one file, that file is used on both themes: tinting somebody's mark to suit our background is the thing their guidelines forbid. Press a tile and the markup goes to the clipboard, flush left and ready to paste. The mark on the trailing edge turns into a tick when the copy lands; the word does not change, because a label that grows resizes the button under a pointer that is already on it.
Hover or focus a tile to read the attribution its licence requires. Every one of them is also written out in full under Attribution below, and a page that shows a mark carries its line: the permission is conditional on it, so dropping the line drops the permission.
No mark by that name
Not every mark can be carried. Seventy of them are deliberately absent and each one is listed with its reason under Not carried, so a gap here is a decision on the record rather than something still to be found.
This is the part a design system gets wrong by reflex. The stylesheet offers no dark
modifier and no filter: invert, because both would draw a
mark its owner does not publish, and several of these owners forbid exactly that in as
many words. What a dark theme does is choose between the two files the owner drew.
50 of the marks in the set have an owner-published dark file. The rest have one file, which is the correct answer on both themes unchanged rather than a gap in the set. Switch the theme with the control in the bar and watch the pair below swap while everything else holds.
DuckDB
The two files above are different vector artwork rather than one shape in two inks,
which is why the switch has to carry both rather than recolour one. Link
src/utility/display.css and
src/utility/dark.css for the two classes, and use them
only for the marks whose owner publishes a pair. On a mark with one published file they
would hide it on one of the two themes for nothing.
A mark is markup, not an asset. The stylesheet sets the block size and lets the width
follow from the owner's own viewBox, so one axis is all it ever touches and the mark
cannot distort. flex: none is the other half: without it a
mark in a control beside a long label is squeezed to nothing, and a squeezed trademark
is a defaced one rather than a small one.
aria-hidden="true" and
focusable="false" are on every mark here for the two
reasons the icon set states: a picture of a word beside the word is a duplicate
announcement, and SVG is in the tab order in some engines unless focusable is denied.
The vendor's name goes in text beside it, which is not only an accessibility rule here
but the arrangement most of these licences describe. A mark that is the only content of
a link needs aria-label on the
link, never on the SVG.
A run of marks is the arrangement these actually appear in - a row of integrations, a
footer of partners - and sized by height alone that run reads as unequal ink.
bs-brand-box is a square measure the mark is contained
inside, which is what the tiles above use, and it is the only other class in the file.
Where an owner publishes the mark as a single ink and permits the ink to be set, the
vendored file carries fill="currentColor" as an attribute
of its own, so the mark is the colour of the text it sits in and no rule is needed. The
two below are the same file in two inks.
That attribute is data and deliberately not a class. A class is something any page can add to any mark, and adding it to a fixed full-colour lockup is precisely the alteration its owner forbids - several of them prohibit monochrome renderings by name. Keeping it an attribute on the six files that hold the permission is what stops the permission travelling to the thirty-seven that do not.
Under forced-colors: active the owner's fills are replaced
by the reader's own palette, and this framework does not prevent that. Opting a subtree
back into author colour is what
forced-color-adjust does, and the contract grants that
property to one file which is not this one. The name in text beside the mark is what
still says which vendor it is, which is why that text is required rather than advised.
Each line below is a condition rather than a credit. These marks are reproduced under permissions that run with an acknowledgement, so a page that shows a mark and drops its line is a page showing the mark without the permission. The list is generated from the same modules as the artwork, so a mark cannot arrive here without its terms.
Where a group's verification found two separate documents, both are stated separately: the licence covering our copy of the file, and the terms covering the mark. Conflating those is the mistake this whole subject exists to prevent - an Apache-2.0 or MIT licence on the repository a logo sits in is a licence to the code and says so, section 6 of Apache-2.0 in as many words.
Every one of them has an entry all the same, with the same slug scheme and the same fields a carried mark has, so a page that names forty vendors is not the page that discovers the thirty-ninth is missing. What the entry does not contain is the owner's artwork. That is the one thing this framework has no right to hand on, and it is what each restriction below records.
Two things had to be true for a mark to ship. First, a right to redistribute - not permission to use it, but permission to hand it to an unknown consumer who hands it on again. Most published brand permissions run to the party who accepted them, are conditional on continued compliance, and are revocable at the owner's discretion; several are expressly non-transferable, which is precisely the right a framework would need. Second, faithful artwork from the owner's own file. A logo redrawn from memory is not an approximation of a trademark, it is a defaced one, and it ships silently where a missing mark is an obvious gap somebody fills correctly.
An empty slot reads as an oversight, and an oversight invites the next person to fill it from a third-party icon collection - which is the one source none of these may come from. The largest of those collections has already been made to drop every Microsoft, LinkedIn and Salesforce mark after contact from those legal teams, and a vendored copy cannot receive a takedown: it would keep serving a withdrawn mark to every page pinned to that version, and this framework would be the one distributing it.
One drawing, ours, used by every entry below. It is a dashed frame around a plus,
which reads as an empty slot at every size and resembles nobody's mark, because the
failure it exists to prevent is a stand-in that gets shipped as though it were the real
thing. It carries data-bs-placeholder in the markup for the
same reason, so a stand-in pasted into a codebase says what it is without anyone having
to remember.
Swapping in the real file is a straight substitution of the
svg inside the box, and the box is what holds the slot to
one square measure while you do it. The owner's file will carry its own viewBox and its
own ratio, so the mark inside the box changes shape at the swap even though the slot
does not. Take the asset from the owner's brand centre and link or inline it yourself:
that is the arrangement almost every one of these owners actually permits, because the
permission then runs directly from them to you, which is the only direction any of them
grant it in.
The guidelines forbid the single thing a CSS framework would need the mark for: monochrome versions of the G are prohibited outright, as is recolouring, redrawing and altering the clear space. The grant also runs to the integrator rather than to a redistributor, so the framework has nothing to pass on.

Placeholder, not Google's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Google and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Google's mark is under Google's terms, not under ours.
Apple forbids use of its logos without a written licence, and the HIG asset pack is licensed to the developer who accepted the programme agreement rather than to anyone that developer ships to. Apple does publish black, white and white-outline marks, so the dark-mode answer exists and is Apple's own file, but obtaining it is the consumer's job and cannot be done on their behalf.

Microsoft legal has already had every Microsoft brand removed from the largest general-purpose icon collection, permitting only unedited assets from four named Microsoft-hosted sources, and Microsoft sits on that project's standing list of owners whose marks are not accepted at all. Redistribution here would repeat exactly what was taken down there.

Same determination as the Microsoft entry, and the product icon terms are narrower still: they cover unmodified use in documentation and architecture diagrams, which is not what a framework does when it vendors a mark into a package other people install.

The Invertocat is the closest this group comes to shippable, because it is genuinely single ink and GitHub states the black or white choice explicitly. It still fails: the policy permits use to refer to GitHub and forbids incorporation into your own product, which is what shipping it inside a framework package is. The shape is also a detailed silhouette rather than a stroke figure, and it is not one to reconstruct without GitHub's own file.

The permission is conditional and revocable and is granted to the party using it, not to a party redistributing it. A framework cannot carry forward a right that GitLab reserves the ability to withdraw from each user individually.

Publishing a press kit is permission to download and use within the stated terms, not permission to redistribute inside a package. Okta publishes a colour mark and a white knockout, so the dark-mode answer is Okta's own file and is one the consumer fetches directly.

The clearest illustration of the trap in this group. The artwork file really is Apache-2.0 and really is downloadable, and that licence really does not license the logo: section 6 excludes trade names, trademarks, service marks and product names. Use of the mark falls under the CNCF and Red Hat trademark guidelines instead, which grant nothing to a redistributor.

Worth recording precisely because it looked like the easy case. The file is reachable in an Apache-2.0 repository and is a single-ink mark, but the published artwork carries a fixed brand colour rather than an inheritable ink, so treating it as a currentColor glyph would be recolouring somebody else's trademark, and section 6 withholds the trademark right regardless.

The narrowest grant in the group and the one most obviously untransferable. The mark signifies certification, so shipping it to consumers who are not certified would be asserting a certification on their behalf, which is the harm the licence exists to prevent.

The strongest candidate in the group by some distance, and it fails on artwork rather than on rights. The Alliance published this icon to be adopted widely and permits the ink to be set, which is exactly what a currentColor glyph needs. The authoritative asset could not be retrieved from the Alliance's own distribution during this work, and this is a specific keyhole figure that reconstruction would get subtly wrong. Worth revisiting first when a right is next pursued, because it is the one entry here whose licence points the right way.

The brand has been superseded. timescale.com now serves TigerData brand assets, so there is no current TimescaleDB mark to carry, and shipping the retired one under this slug would misname it.

The ASF permits an unmodified project logo, taken from the project site, used as a link to that project. The only SVG the Solr site publishes is the on-orange lockup: four white wordmark paths and eight dark mark paths, which needs the orange plate it was drawn for and is illegible without it. The on-white and on-black masters are PDF, and converting one would be a retrace of somebody else trademark.

AWS marks require a written trademark licence, and the Architecture Icons are supplied under terms that bind the recipient rather than licensing onward distribution. The only reason this one is out is fidelity, not permission: the mark sits in an Apache-2.0 repository and Red Hat permits unmodified use. But the sole SVG the canonical repositories publish is the working file, a 228 by 61 horizontal lockup carrying fifty-five paths, arrow markers and clip paths, and no icon-only variant of it exists in any project repository that could be located. Reducing an editing source by hand to get an icon means redrawing a trademark, and a mark drawn wrong is worse than a mark absent.

The design guidelines are addressed to "any external developer integrating Spotify into their product" and are explicit that the artwork rides on Spotify own licensing agreements, which is a grant to the integrator and to nobody downstream of them. Valve licenses the Steam marks through its partner and Steamworks branding rules rather than through a public brand page, so the governing document is one a party has to be under agreement to hold. Not read in this pass, and the shape of the licence is the reason it is unlikely to clear when it is.

Yandex ID is a sign-in provider with a real share in its markets, and its button and mark rules sit in the Yandex OAuth documentation. Those were not read in this pass. Recorded rather than dropped, because a set that quietly stops at the anglophone providers is a set that looks complete and is not.

The repository LICENSE was read and is MIT, which grants copyright permission and is silent on trademarks, so no right in the mark arises from it. That is a finding about the code licence and not about the brand terms: the Gitea trademark policy is a separate document that could not be reached in this pass, and Gitea is a registered mark of Gitea Limited whatever the file is served under. Worth revisiting, because the answer is genuinely unknown rather than known to be no.
Owner's terms: https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/blob/main/assets/logo.svg

The repository LICENSE was read and is GPL-3.0, which is a code licence and conveys no trademark right. No separate licence file accompanies assets/logo.svg and no brand page could be reached, so the mark is out on absent evidence. The file would also need the most rewriting in this set: it styles bare circle and path element selectors from a style block, which would repaint every unrelated circle and path on the page it was inlined into.

Same construction as Mastodon: an AGPL codebase with the mark retained by Nextcloud GmbH under separate terms. The trademark guidelines were not read in this pass.

A self-hosted identity provider whose repository carries an open-source code licence and no separate grant in the mark. Group 1 already recorded that construction four times, for Keycloak, SuperTokens, Better Auth and ZITADEL, and the finding is the same one: a code licence is not a trademark licence, and MIT is narrower than Apache-2.0 here rather than broader because it does not address trademarks at all.

A commercial identity provider that publishes brand assets for download. A published download is not a redistribution grant, which is the determination group 1 reached for every published brand kit in its list, and FusionAuth own terms were not read directly in this pass.

The brand resource centre is explicit that permission runs to a named party and stays with Meta: "Meta's trademarks are owned by Meta and may only be used as provided in these guidelines or with Meta's permission", "all usage of the Meta logo requires approval", and Meta "may revoke permission to use Meta's trademarks at any time". A framework cannot hold an approval on behalf of consumers it has never met, and cannot pass on a right that is revocable per user.

A Meta trademark and it takes the Meta determination. The gradient glyph is also the mark in this set most often reproduced from an approximation rather than from the owner file, which is the second failure on top of the first: a gradient rebuilt by eye is a defaced trademark even where the shape is right.

The closest this group comes to a grant, and it still is not one. The press page says "feel free to use them for article illustrations, graphs, forward to Telegram buttons, etc. Just make sure people understand you are not representing Telegram officially." That is a broad permission to the reader for named uses, granted in prose with no licence named, no version, and nothing said about a party downstream of the reader. A framework needs the right to hand the file on to a consumer who never read that sentence, which is the one thing it does not say. Revisit first if a right is ever pursued in this group.

The clearest refusal in the group and a useful correction to an assumption: the client is free software and the mark is not. Signal states that "Signal, Signal logos, and other trademarks are trademarks or registered trademarks of Signal Technology Foundation", and the terms add that "you may not use our copyrights, trademarks, domains, logos, trade dress, patents, and other intellectual property rights unless you have our written permission".

The Foundation trademark policy requires the mark to be used "exactly as they appear in the official Foundation brand guidelines", forbids altering, abbreviating or combining it "unless approved by the Foundation", and requires prior written consent for any use outside the referencing and compatibility cases it lists. The brand guidelines forbid alteration outright - "the Mattermost logo must not be altered in any way", with redrawing, effects, warping, cropping and recolouring named - and grant nothing beyond the name: "using the Mattermost name is generally permitted as long as it is used in a non-commercial way". Permission to use a word is not permission to redistribute a logo file.

Read and it settles nothing in our favour, which is the same outcome. The press kit publishes the colour, monochrome and text lockups as SVG and PNG and states no licence, no copyright line and no usage terms beside them. The XSF IPR policy covers XEP specifications only and never mentions the logo, and the website repository that serves the files carries no LICENSE at its root. The logo is the XSF's and no dedication of it could be found.

A Google brand, and group 1 already records that Google grants a conditional, revocable permission to the party reading the guidelines and nothing to a redistributor. Placeholder, not YouTube's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from YouTube and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of YouTube's mark is under YouTube's terms, not under ours.
Brand guidelines publish the ghost and forbid alteration. No redistribution grant was found and the terms were not read directly in this pass.

The butterfly is a registered mark of Bluesky Social and the protocol beneath it is open, which is exactly the split that catches people out. The brand page was not reached in this pass and no redistribution grant was found.
Owner's terms: https://bsky.social/about/blog
Placeholder, not Bluesky's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Bluesky and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Bluesky's mark is under Bluesky's terms, not under ours.
The client is open source and the mark is Element's, the same construction the Matrix entry above records for the protocol. The brand terms were not read directly in this pass and no redistribution grant was found.
Owner's terms: https://element.io/
Placeholder, not Element's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Element and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Element's mark is under Element's terms, not under ours.
Press assets are published and the trademark is retained. No redistribution grant was found and the terms were not read directly in this pass.
Owner's terms: https://www.rocket.chat/press
Placeholder, not Rocket.Chat's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Rocket.Chat and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Rocket.Chat's mark is under Rocket.Chat's terms, not under ours.
The server is Apache-2.0 and section 6 of that licence expressly withholds trademark permission, so the code licence settles nothing here. The attributions page carries illustration credits rather than logo terms, and no separate trademark policy was read in this pass.
Owner's terms: https://zulip.com/attribution/
Placeholder, not Zulip's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Zulip and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Zulip's mark is under Zulip's terms, not under ours.
Press material is published for use unmodified. No redistribution grant was found and the terms were not read directly in this pass.
Owner's terms: https://threema.ch/en/press
Placeholder, not Threema's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Threema and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Threema's mark is under Threema's terms, not under ours.
Tencent publishes mark usage rules for open-platform integrators. No redistribution grant was found and the terms were not read directly in this pass.
Owner's terms: https://open.weixin.qq.com/
Placeholder, not WeChat's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from WeChat and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of WeChat's mark is under WeChat's terms, not under ours.
The project is open source and the site states no logo terms. An open-source code licence is not a trademark licence - Apache-2.0 says so in section 6 and MIT does not address marks at all - so the code licence would not settle it even once read. Nothing was read directly here.
Owner's terms: https://join-lemmy.org/
Placeholder, not Lemmy's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Lemmy and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Lemmy's mark is under Lemmy's terms, not under ours.
The site licenses its news content under CC-BY-SA and says nothing about the logo, which is the trap in miniature: a licence on one part of a site does not travel to the artwork. No redistribution grant for the mark was found and the terms were not read directly.
Owner's terms: https://joinpeertube.org/
Placeholder, not PeerTube's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from PeerTube and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of PeerTube's mark is under PeerTube's terms, not under ours.
The PSF Trademark Usage Policy divides logo use by purpose rather than by alteration. It permits unaltered PSF-provided logos on websites, brochures and product packaging for non-commercial use, and states that commercial uses require prior written permission from the PSF. A framework installed by companies shipping paid products cannot pass on a permission that is conditioned on the downstream use being non-commercial, and it cannot obtain the written permission on their behalf.
Owner's terms: https://www.python.org/psf/trademarks/
Placeholder, not Python's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Python and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Python's mark is under Python's terms, not under ours.
The Go trademark guidelines are unusually direct about it: the word mark Go is to be used freely to refer to the language, and the guidelines then say "Do not use the Go Logo or Go as a stylized form without permission". The permission a framework would need is exactly that one, and it is the one the guidelines withhold by name.
Owner's terms: https://go.dev/brand
Placeholder, not Go's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Go and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Go's mark is under Go's terms, not under ours.
Java is Oracle property and takes the Oracle determination this repository already records for MySQL and Oracle Database in group 3: logo use requires a written licence from Oracle, and no redistribution right is published. Nothing about the language changes the owner.
Owner's terms: https://www.oracle.com/legal/trademarks.html
Placeholder, not Java's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Java and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Java's mark is under Java's terms, not under ours.
The Kotlin Foundation brand guidelines permit use of the Kotlin word mark to refer to the language, and treat the logo separately: they say "In case you have our approval to use the Kotlin logo, you must obey the following graphic guidelines", and reserve approval to the Trademark Subcommittee. A per-user approval is precisely the right a framework cannot hold on a consumer behalf.
Owner's terms: https://kotlinfoundation.org/guidelines/
Placeholder, not Kotlin's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Kotlin and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Kotlin's mark is under Kotlin's terms, not under ours.
Apple property, and it takes the Apple determination recorded in group 1: Apple forbids use of its logos without a written licence, and the assets it does publish are licensed to the developer who accepted the programme agreement rather than to anyone that developer ships to.
Owner's terms: https://developer.apple.com/design/human-interface-guidelines/swift
Placeholder, not Swift's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Swift and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Swift's mark is under Swift's terms, not under ours.
Microsoft property, and it takes the Microsoft determination recorded in group 1. Microsoft legal has already had every Microsoft brand removed from the largest general-purpose icon collection and sits on that project standing list of owners whose marks are not accepted at all. Redistribution here would repeat what was taken down there.
Owner's terms: https://www.microsoft.com/legal/intellectualproperty/trademarks
Placeholder, not TypeScript's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from TypeScript and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of TypeScript's mark is under TypeScript's terms, not under ours.
Same owner and same determination as TypeScript. The .NET Foundation publishes brand assets under guidelines that permit use referring to .NET; the underlying mark is Microsoft property and no onward distribution right is granted by either document.
Owner's terms: https://dotnetfoundation.org/about/policies/logo-usage
Placeholder, not .NET's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from .NET and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of .NET's mark is under .NET's terms, not under ours.
Meta property. The Meta brand resource for logo terms did not resolve during this pass and the open source legal terms page returned nothing readable, so the refusal below is not quoted from Meta and is not presented as though it were. What is on the record: the React repository code licence is MIT, MIT is silent on trademarks, and the mark is retained by Meta. Read the Meta trademark terms before this is revisited.
Owner's terms: https://about.meta.com/brand/resources/meta/logo/
Placeholder, not React's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from React and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of React's mark is under React's terms, not under ours.
Google property, and it takes the Google determination recorded in group 1: the grant runs to the integrator who follows the guidelines rather than to a redistributor, and the guidelines forbid recolouring and redrawing outright.
Owner's terms: https://angular.dev/press-kit
Placeholder, not Angular's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Angular and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Angular's mark is under Angular's terms, not under ours.
Google property, same determination as Angular. Dart takes it too, for the same reason and from the same owner.
Owner's terms: https://docs.flutter.dev/brand
Placeholder, not Flutter's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Flutter and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Flutter's mark is under Flutter's terms, not under ours.
The Node.js branding page states only that permissible use of the Node.js logos and marks is governed by the OpenJS Foundation trademark policy. Both the policy and the trademark list are client-rendered and produced no readable text in this pass, so no grant has been established and none is being asserted either way. This is the entry in the group most likely to move if the policy turns out to permit unmodified redistribution.
Owner's terms: https://trademark-policy.openjsf.org/
Placeholder, not Node.js's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Node.js and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Node.js's mark is under Node.js's terms, not under ours.
denoland/artwork carries the files with no licence statement in its README and no LICENSE file governing the artwork that could be read in this pass. A repository being public is not a redistribution grant, so it is out on absent evidence rather than on a refusal.
Owner's terms: https://github.com/denoland/artwork
Placeholder, not Deno's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Deno and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Deno's mark is under Deno's terms, not under ours.
vuejs/art states that the Vue.js artworks are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0. The NonCommercial term is the whole of it: this framework is MIT and is installed by companies shipping paid products, so passing the file on would hand every commercial consumer a licence they are already in breach of.
Owner's terms: https://github.com/vuejs/art
Placeholder, not Vue.js's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Vue.js and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Vue.js's mark is under Vue.js's terms, not under ours.
sveltejs/branding publishes conditions of usage rather than a licence. They govern how the logo may be shown - no implication of sponsorship, accurate and good faith claims of compatibility - and grant nothing about handing the file to a third party who will ship it on. Conditions on use are not a right to redistribute.
Owner's terms: https://github.com/sveltejs/branding
Placeholder, not Svelte's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Svelte and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Svelte's mark is under Svelte's terms, not under ours.
The Astro press page is a usage guide: minimum sizes, clear space, which lockup belongs on which background, and a requirement of written consent before the logomark is used alone. It publishes files to download and states no licence over them, and a consent requirement is the opposite of a right that travels with a package.
Owner's terms: https://astro.build/press/
Placeholder, not Astro's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Astro and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Astro's mark is under Astro's terms, not under ours.
nim-lang/assets states the artwork belongs to the Nim project and may not be used in a way that suggests a non-existent affiliation, then quotes the Apache trademark policy examples of permitted NOMINATIVE FAIR USE. Nominative fair use is a defence available to whoever invokes it, individually. It is not a licence, and there is nothing in it to pass on.
Owner's terms: https://github.com/nim-lang/assets
Placeholder, not Nim's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Nim and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Nim's mark is under Nim's terms, not under ours.
The Elixir trademarks policy rests on nominative use, and the single line covering icon sets reads "Inclusion of the Elixir logo in non-commercial icon sets". Non-commercial is the operative word and it is the same disqualification as Vue and Julia: a framework shipping to commercial consumers cannot pass on a permission conditioned on the use not being commercial.
Owner's terms: https://elixir-lang.org/trademarks/
Placeholder, not Elixir's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Elixir and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Elixir's mark is under Elixir's terms, not under ours.
JuliaLang/julia-logo-graphics licenses the designs under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. Same NonCommercial bar as Vue. The repository separately points at CC0 stock photography for publishers, which is a different asset and not the mark.
Owner's terms: https://github.com/JuliaLang/julia-logo-graphics
Placeholder, not Julia's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Julia and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Julia's mark is under Julia's terms, not under ours.
The only entry in this group withheld on ARTWORK rather than on rights, and its rights are the best in the repository: "Permission is hereby granted, without written agreement and without license or royalty fees, to use, copy, and distribute this logo for any purpose, including commercial applications", subject only to not misrepresenting the origin, adapting the orbiting text alone, and keeping the proportions. lua.org publishes the logo as GIF and as the two PostScript programs the GIFs were generated from, and no vector. Tracing one would be us drawing somebody trademark. Revisit this first if an SVG ever appears.
Owner's terms: https://www.lua.org/images/
Placeholder, not Lua's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Lua and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Lua's mark is under Lua's terms, not under ours.
webpack/media says it in one sentence: "The logo and the brand name are not MIT licensed". The repository around it is, which is the exact trap Keycloak illustrates in group 1 - an open source licence on the repository a logo sits in is not a licence to the logo, and here the project has spelled it out rather than leaving it to Apache-2.0 section 6.
Owner's terms: https://github.com/webpack/media
Placeholder, not webpack's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from webpack and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of webpack's mark is under webpack's terms, not under ours.
The one to read twice. The Django trademark page carries a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike notice, and it covers THE TEXT OF THE TRADEMARK LICENCE - the document - not the logo the document is about. The DSF retains the mark, and treating the page licence as the artwork licence would be a redistribution built on a misreading.
Owner's terms: https://www.djangoproject.com/trademarks/
Placeholder, not Django's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Django and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Django's mark is under Django's terms, not under ours.
The Laravel trademark policy permits use indicating that a product is intended for use with Laravel, and then closes it: "once a project has left the open source project phase or otherwise become a commercial project, this Policy does not authorise any use of the Trademarks". A permission that lapses on the consumer commercialising is not one a framework can carry.
Owner's terms: https://laravel.com/trademark
Placeholder, not Laravel's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Laravel and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Laravel's mark is under Laravel's terms, not under ours.
Broadcom owns the Spring marks and publishes a trademark policy governing how they may be shown, including a prohibition on combining them with other marks or logos. It grants nothing about redistribution inside a package, and the owner is a company that enforces.
Owner's terms: https://spring.io/trademarks
Placeholder, not Spring's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Spring and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Spring's mark is under Spring's terms, not under ours.
A near miss that reads like a grant until it is read closely. symfony.com/logo does carry a CC0 1.0 Public Domain Dedication, and the dedication covers the SCREENSHOTS on that page. The logo itself is directed to the Symfony Trademark and Logo Policy, and Symfony is a trademark of Symfony SAS.
Owner's terms: https://symfony.com/logo
Placeholder, not Symfony's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Symfony and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Symfony's mark is under Symfony's terms, not under ours.
The Gleam branding page names a CC-BY licence exactly once, and it is about the Nix logo that one of the Lucy variants is derived from, not about Lucy or about Gleam own mark. Reading that sentence as covering the page would be attributing a licence to an owner who never granted it.
Owner's terms: https://gleam.run/branding/
Placeholder, not Gleam's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Gleam and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Gleam's mark is under Gleam's terms, not under ours.
haskell.org publishes the lambda mark and states no licence over it. The wiki page collecting logo history invites contributors to upload free or public domain logos, which describes what people have uploaded rather than granting anything over the mark the project actually uses. No grant established.
Owner's terms: https://www.haskell.org/
Placeholder, not Haskell's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Haskell and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Haskell's mark is under Haskell's terms, not under ours.
scala-lang.org publishes the spiral mark and no licence or trademark statement covering it could be found at the canonical location in this pass. Out on absent evidence.
Owner's terms: https://www.scala-lang.org/
Placeholder, not Scala's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Scala and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Scala's mark is under Scala's terms, not under ours.

The Perl marks are split across owners in a way that needs settling before any of it can be carried: the camel is O'Reilly artwork, the onion is The Perl Foundation, and the trademark page at perl.org did not resolve in this pass. Nothing here is claimed either way.
Owner's terms: https://www.perlfoundation.org/
Placeholder, not Perl's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Perl and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Perl's mark is under Perl's terms, not under ours.
A commercial design tool whose mark is its product identity. No published licence permitting a third party to redistribute the logo file was found, and the terms were not read directly.
Owner's terms: https://www.sketch.com/
Placeholder, not Sketch's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Sketch and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Sketch's mark is under Sketch's terms, not under ours.
The clearest illustration in this group of the trap the whole subject exists for. Penpot is open source and its licence says the opposite of what that suggests: MPL-2.0 grants rights "other than patent or trademark" and states in terms that it "does not grant any rights in the trademarks, service marks, or logos of any Contributor". Reachable is not licensed.
Owner's terms: https://github.com/penpot/penpot/blob/develop/LICENSE
Placeholder, not Penpot's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Penpot and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Penpot's mark is under Penpot's terms, not under ours.
Blender states it outright: the logo and the brand name are not part of the GNU GPL, the logo is the property of the Blender Foundation, and a third party may use it only to point at the product or to give credit, as a secondary brand, never as their own. That is a permission to the party displaying it and not a right to hand on.
Owner's terms: https://www.blender.org/about/logo/
Placeholder, not Blender's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Blender and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Blender's mark is under Blender's terms, not under ours.
The Krita Foundation page names a website licence and does not address the mark. No redistribution grant for the logo was found and the terms were not read directly.
Owner's terms: https://krita.org/en/about/krita-foundation/
Placeholder, not Krita's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Krita and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Krita's mark is under Krita's terms, not under ours.
The repository is MIT, which grants copyright permission and is silent on trademarks, so no trademark right arises from it. Nothing separately published grants redistribution of the mark.
Owner's terms: https://github.com/excalidraw/excalidraw
Placeholder, not Excalidraw's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Excalidraw and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Excalidraw's mark is under Excalidraw's terms, not under ours.
The trademark policy exists and its page is a client-rendered application that served no policy text to a direct fetch. The one thing legible from Grafana Labs is that the marks are theirs, which is where every other observability vendor in this list also lands.
Owner's terms: https://grafana.com/legal/trademark-policy/
Placeholder, not Grafana's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Grafana and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Grafana's mark is under Grafana's terms, not under ours.
The branding page hands out a logo builder rather than a licence. What it does state is that the mark is a registered trademark of Functional Software, Inc., and one of its own controls offers to invert the logo for dark mode - which is the alteration most owners here forbid, and is theirs to offer and not ours. No redistribution grant is published.
Owner's terms: https://sentry.io/branding/
Placeholder, not Sentry's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Sentry and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Sentry's mark is under Sentry's terms, not under ours.
The trademark guidelines page is client-rendered and points at a separate asset library rather than stating terms inline. No redistribution grant was found and the guidelines were not read directly in this pass.
Owner's terms: https://www.datadoghq.com/legal/trademark-guidelines/
Placeholder, not Datadog's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Datadog and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Datadog's mark is under Datadog's terms, not under ours.

Owner's terms: https://www.honeycomb.io/

An Apache Software Foundation-adjacent project whose graphic logo falls under the ASF trademark policy: the ASF holds the graphic logos as trademarks for the software, and the Apache-2.0 licence on the code expressly "does not grant permission to use the trade names, trademarks, service marks, or product names of the Licensor". Section 6 is the whole answer.
Owner's terms: https://www.apache.org/foundation/marks/
Placeholder, not Zipkin's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Zipkin and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Zipkin's mark is under Zipkin's terms, not under ours.
Microsoft permits reuse only of specified icon sets published on its own properties and only with no edits made, and required the removal of every Microsoft brand from Simple Icons on those grounds. Microsoft also sits on that project's standing list of owners whose marks are not accepted at all. Nothing in that is a redistribution right.
Owner's terms: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/legal/intellectualproperty/trademarks
Placeholder, not Visual Studio Code's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Visual Studio Code and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Visual Studio Code's mark is under Visual Studio Code's terms, not under ours.
Takes the Microsoft determination. The tool is Apache-2.0 and section 6 of that licence withholds trademark permission by name, so the open-source licence carries the code and not the mark, and the mark is governed by the Microsoft trademark terms.
Owner's terms: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/legal/intellectualproperty/trademarks
Placeholder, not Playwright's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Playwright and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Playwright's mark is under Playwright's terms, not under ours.
npm is GitHub's, and the GitHub logos policy permits use to refer to GitHub while forbidding incorporation into your own product, which is exactly what shipping a mark inside a framework package is. GitHub is itself Microsoft's, so both determinations land on the same answer.
Owner's terms: https://github.com/logos
Placeholder, not npm's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from npm and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of npm's mark is under npm's terms, not under ours.
Same policy and same answer as the GitHub entry in the sign-in group: permission runs to the party referring to GitHub, is conditional on continued compliance, and does not extend to redistribution inside a package other people install.
Owner's terms: https://github.com/logos
Placeholder, not GitHub Actions's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from GitHub Actions and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of GitHub Actions's mark is under GitHub Actions's terms, not under ours.
The brand page is a client-rendered application that served product asset paths and no terms to a direct fetch. JetBrains publishes logo guidelines for its whole IDE family and no redistribution grant was found.
Owner's terms: https://www.jetbrains.com/company/brand/logos/
Placeholder, not JetBrains's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from JetBrains and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of JetBrains's mark is under JetBrains's terms, not under ours.
The project is Apache-2.0, and section 6 of that licence states in as many words that it "does not grant permission to use the trade names, trademarks, service marks, or product names of the Licensor". A logo file inside an Apache-2.0 repository is code-licensed and trademark-reserved, which is the same construction that kept Keycloak out of group 1.
Owner's terms: https://github.com/neovim/neovim/blob/master/LICENSE.txt

Placeholder, not Vim's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Vim and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Vim's mark is under Vim's terms, not under ours.
The repository is MIT. MIT is narrower here than Apache-2.0 rather than broader: Apache-2.0 at least says out loud that it withholds trademark rights, while MIT never mentions them, so no trademark permission arises from it either way and the mark stays with the project.

Placeholder, not Vite's mark. This glyph is bare.style's own drawing. Obtain the artwork from Vite and replace it before shipping, and note that the real file carries its own viewBox. Your use of Vite's mark is under Vite's terms, not under ours.
Storybook keeps a dedicated brand repository publishing a default and an inverse logo, which settles what a dark theme should show and does not settle who may redistribute it. No redistribution grant was found in that repository.

An OpenJS Foundation project. The Foundation runs a trademark policy site, which returned no readable policy text to a direct fetch, so the terms were not read. No redistribution grant was found and the MIT licence on the code does not supply one.

The one entry here withheld on artwork rather than on rights, and it is the reverse of every other line in this list. OpenCost is a CNCF project, so the Linux Foundation grant the 22 marks above rely on covers it outright. cncf/artwork simply publishes no icon at that path, and a mark we cannot obtain from the owner is a mark we do not draw. Worth revisiting first when this group is next extended, because the permission is already in hand.

Same position as OpenCost. The Linux Foundation grant covers it and cncf/artwork publishes no icon at the expected path, so there is nothing faithful to carry.

Visa states it flatly: "Nothing contained on the Visa Site should be construed as granting by implication, estoppel, or otherwise, any license or right to use any Trademark displayed on the Visa Site without the written permission of Visa or such third party that may own the Trademark." The licence that does exist runs to a member under a signed agreement and is non-transferable by its own terms, so there is nothing here a framework could pass on.

Withheld on the same ground as every other scheme, and the ground is recorded rather than quoted: mastercard.com refuses an automated request with HTTP 403, so the trademark terms were not read directly in this pass. What is not in doubt is the arrangement - the Brand Center gates the artwork behind an account and the marks are licensed to customers under the Mastercard Rules, which is a grant to a licensed party and not to a redistributor. Read the page from a browser before moving this entry.

Maestro is Mastercard property and takes the Mastercard determination, including the part that could not be read directly. Worth its own entry rather than a footnote, because a checkout row treats Maestro as a separate acceptance mark and an agent filling that row would otherwise find no answer for it.

Cirrus is Mastercard property and takes the Mastercard determination. It is the ATM acceptance mark rather than a checkout one, and it is here so that the record covers the three marks Mastercard names together rather than only the one a web page reaches for first.

The terms of service are unambiguous: "Users are prohibited from using any Marks for any purpose including, but not limited to use as metatags on other pages, websites or digital properties without the written permission of American Express or such third party which may own the Marks." A framework cannot hold a written permission on a consumer behalf.

Two sentences settle it. "Under no circumstances may you alter, modify, or change these Trademarks", and separately: "You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, frame, create derivative works from, transfer, or otherwise use in any other way for commercial or public purposes in whole or in part any portion of the DFS Intellectual Property ... without DFS prior written permission." Vendoring the mark into a package is distribution and publication of exactly that kind.

Diners Club is Discover property and takes the Discover determination. Separate entry because the two are separate acceptance marks on a checkout page and the shared owner is not obvious from the names.

JCB is the clearest case in the group of a grant that names its recipient: only affiliate merchants authorised by contract with JCB may use the emblem, and the file is handed over through an agreement the recipient accepts. A framework is not a contracted merchant and cannot accept that agreement for the people who install it.

The website usage terms name reproduction specifically, which most of these do not: "Without the prior written permission of UnionPay International, UnionPay Logos shall not be altered, reproduced or otherwise used by any other person." Vendoring is reproduction by any reading of the word.

Stripe writes the decisive line itself: "The permission we're giving you is non-exclusive (meaning, we can give it to others) and non-transferable (meaning, you can't)." It also says "We may terminate your permission to use our Marks at any time (and at our discretion)" and forbids modification. Non-transferable is precisely the right a framework would have to hold, and revocable is why a vendored copy would be wrong the moment it moved.

The user agreement states that the marks "may not be copied, imitated, modified, or used without PayPal prior written consent", and the exception it then makes is instructive rather than helpful: it covers logos PayPal itself supplies to a merchant, for directing traffic to PayPal, unaltered. That grant is to the merchant and is conditioned on PayPal having supplied the file, which a framework copy would not be.

Braintree takes the PayPal determination, and the redirect is the evidence: the old braintreepayments.com legal paths now answer with a 301 to the Braintree section of the PayPal legal hub, so the terms that govern the mark are PayPal own.

The developer trademark terms grant "permission to use the Square Marks on a non-exclusive, non-transferable basis in the United States. This permission may be revoked at any time at our discretion", and forbid displaying, copying, modifying or transmitting the marks except as the terms describe. Block also states separately that only Block, its affiliates and authorised licensees may use the Square logo in promotional material.

Block names this mark in the restriction rather than leaving it to inference: only Block, its affiliated companies and authorised licensees may use the Block, Square or Cash App logo in advertising, promotional and sales material. A framework is none of those.

Out on absent evidence rather than on a quoted refusal, and the distinction is the entry. The press kit publishes downloadable logo sets with spacing and background guidance and no usage terms at all, directing questions to design@adyen.com instead, while the terms and conditions reserve Adyen intellectual property generally. No permission to redistribute was published, and silence is not a grant.

The grant is worded as narrowly as any in this group: "You are solely granted a limited, personal, revocable right and license to use the Klarna Assets for your internal business purposes", with no right to "publish, copy, assign, transfer, license or otherwise dispose of" them, and Klarna reserving the right to restrict usage at its own discretion. Personal and internal is the opposite of what redistribution means.

Apple supplies the mark and forbids substitution of any other copy: "Don't alter the artwork in any way or create your own version of the Apple Pay mark. Use only the artwork provided by Apple." A framework copy would not be artwork provided by Apple, so carrying one would put every consumer in breach of the sentence that governs it. Apple is also already withheld in the sign-in group on the broader ground that its logos need a written licence.

The grant is not merely non-transferable, it is reviewed: "Before you can request production access, you need to get approval for all the places where you display or reference Google Pay." A mark shipped inside a framework appears in places Google has not seen, which is the one thing the process exists to prevent. The guidelines also forbid creating your own button and require Google own assets.

Revolut permits the marks without a separate written consent only while the use stays inside the published brand guidelines, and grants nothing beyond them. That is a grant to the merchant who integrates Revolut Pay, conditioned on their own compliance, and it does not reach a party redistributing the file to merchants it has never met.

Wise states that its trademarks "may not be copied, imitated, modified, or used without prior written consent", and separately forbids altering the HTML logos it does supply. Press-kit availability is not a licence: the assets are published for media use and the intellectual property page is the term that governs them.

Mollie publishes payment-method badges for merchants to put on a checkout, which reads as an open invitation and is not one: the user agreement reserves every intellectual property right to Mollie and grants a limited promotional licence to the party who signed it. Out on absent evidence. The master services agreement defines the Paddle marks and reserves them, and its only trademark grant runs the other way - a supplier licensing their marks to Paddle, non-transferably, so that Paddle can sell for them. Nothing published grants a third party the right to carry the Paddle mark.

The marks are Stripe property since the acquisition and the terms require prior written permission for public use, while the brand page forbids modification of the supplied files outright. The "Powered by Lemon Squeezy" badge is offered to merchants selling through Lemon Squeezy for their own storefront, which is a grant to that merchant and not a licence to redistribute the artwork.
